RV Inspection Requirement Checklist

Proper Site

  • A camp site or parking pad is required for the RV Inspection.  The inspector needs to be able to inspect the underside of the RV.  All slide outs and awnings must have enough room to fully extend.

RV Hookups

  • 30 or  50 amp power.  110v house power or extension cord will NOT work.
  • City water connection with a pressure regulator and drinking hose.
  • Full fresh tank if City water connection is unavailable.
  • Sewer hookup with sewer hose.  This is preferred but not required.

Propane

The propane tanks must be at least 1/2 full.

Fuel to Test Generator

The motorhome or toy hauler fuel tank must be at least 1/2 full to test generator operation.

Refrigerator

RV absorption style refrigerator must be turned on 12 hours prior to inspection.

Keys and Personal Content

  • All keys for the ignition, entry door, baggage door & fuel doors must be provided.
  • Personal content needs to be removed from cabinets, closets and exterior cargo bays.
